

The M.Tech. (Computer Science) programme offered by the Department of Computer Science and Applications is a two-year postgraduate programme designed to develop advanced technical knowledge, research aptitude, and innovation skills. Introduced in 2005–06 as M.E. (CSE) with specialization in Knowledge Engineering under the support of the Government of India, the programme has continuously evolved to meet emerging academic and industry needs. It was renamed M.Tech. (CSE) in 2013–14 and later unified as M.Tech. (Computer Science) from the academic session 2021–22. The curriculum integrates advanced computing concepts with practical learning through laboratories, seminars, internships, and dissertation work. The programme prepares graduates for research, higher education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles in academia, industry, and emerging technology sectors.
