Utkal Entrepreneurship & Career Hub (UECH)

Addressing the increase in the potential of start-ups ,Utkal University & Incubation Centre,Centre for Innovation andIncubation (CII) was established in 2020 under Utkal Entrepreneurship and Career Hub (UECH) , supported by the RUSA Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

The objective of the incubation centre is simple – to inspire and work with aspiring entrepreneurs to shape up business ideas into commercial start-up companies through the University ecosystem.

Centre for Innovation, and Incubation is open to all the individuals, companies, researchers, NGO’s, Government &non-Government establish-ments.
Through the intervention of seed-funding , incubation, mentoring, training and knowledge dissemination, CII helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable businesses.

UECH at Utkal University campus was established with an objective to improve quality, excellence and equity in the higher education scenario. UECH is funded through RUSA 2.0.

Objective
  • Promotion of the spirit of entrepreneurship through innovative pathways and business models along with incubation training to potential entrepreneurs (by Centre for Innovation & Incubation – CII).
  • Career developmental activities in a broader perspective like soft skills,career guidance,bridging the gap between campus to corporate(C2C),certification courses, students’ enrichment activities and other employability enhancing programs for the students of Utkal University campus and affiliated colleges.
  • UECH-Career hub programs: Soft Skill Development, Campus 2 Corporate(C2C), Exposure to role models,Outreach,Value added courses, Foundation Courses,Behavioral training,Student Employability Enhancement Program (SEEP),Happiness Program,Youth Employability Program (YEP), TCSion Career Edge, FutureSkills Prime and Employability & Soft Skills(ESS), Skill Development Awareness Program (SDAP). Overall, holistic development of students.
Vision
  • To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of soft skills and to educate 21 st century skills for bridging the gap between industry-academia.
Mission
  • To equip students with market relevant skills regarding capacity building and skill development both for employability and
    entrepreneurial skills.
