ଉତ୍କଳ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ମହିଳା ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଓ ନେତୃତ୍ୱକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହନ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ‘ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍’ର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ
ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର : ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷାନୁଷ୍ଠାନଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା, ନେତୃତ୍ୱ, ମାନସିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣକୁ ସୁଦୃଢ଼ କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଉତ୍କଳ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସୋମବାର ଆନୁଷ୍ଠାନିକ ଭାବେ ‘ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍’ (Shaktishree Empowerment Cell) ର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରାଯାଇଛି।
ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟାପକ ‘ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ’ ଅଭିଯାନର ଏକ ଅଂଶ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଏମକେସିଜି ଅଡିଟୋରିୟମଠାରେ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଉଦ୍‌ଘାଟିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି, ଯାହାର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ରାଜ୍ୟର ସମସ୍ତ କଲେଜ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ଏଭଳି ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍ ଗଠନ କରିବା।
ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଉତ୍କଳ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର କୁଳପତି ପ୍ରଫେସର ଚଣ୍ଡୀ ପ୍ରସାଦ ନନ୍ଦ ନିଜ ଅଭିଭାଷଣରେ ଏକ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ଓ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତୀକରଣ ଶିକ୍ଷାଗତ ପରିବେଶ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଆରୋପ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ବାଣୀବିହାରର ଛାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଆତ୍ମବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ସମ୍ମାନର ସହ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରିବେ। ଶିକ୍ଷାନୁଷ୍ଠାନଗୁଡ଼ିକ କେବଳ ଶିକ୍ଷାଗତ ଉତ୍କର୍ଷତା ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହିତ କରୁଥିବା ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ହେବା ଉଚିତ ବୋଲି ସେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ରମାଦେବୀ ମହିଳା ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର କୁଳପତି ପ୍ରଫେସର ଜ୍ୟୋତ୍ସ୍ନା କେ.ବି. ରାଉତ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ସେ ସଭାକୁ ସମ୍ବୋଧିତ କରି କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍ ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରିଚାଳିତ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ସହାୟତା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଭାବେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବ, ଯାହା ମହିଳା ଛାତ୍ରୀ ଓ କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା, ମାନସିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ସର୍ବାଙ୍ଗୀନ ବିକାଶ ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବ।
ଇଷ୍ଟର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମିଡିଆ ଲିମିଟେଡର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନିର୍ବାହୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶିକା ସୁଶ୍ରୀ ତନୟା ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ସେ ଏହି ପ୍ରୟାସର ଉଚ୍ଚ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରି କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ଏଭଳି ଆନୁଷ୍ଠାନିକ ସହାୟତା ମଞ୍ଚ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ନେତୃତ୍ୱ ବିକାଶ, ପରାମର୍ଶ (ମେଣ୍ଟରସିପ୍), ଅଭିଯୋଗ ନିବାରଣ ଏବଂ ଦକ୍ଷତା ବୃଦ୍ଧିରେ ବିଶେଷ ସହାୟକ ହେବ।
ପିଜି କାଉନସିଲ୍ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରଫେସର ଯଜ୍ଞେଶ୍ୱର ଦଣ୍ଡପାଟ ଏବଂ କୁଳସଚିବ ଡକ୍ଟର ସ୍ୱାତୀ ମିଶ୍ର ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ଛାତ୍ର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶିକା ପ୍ରଫେସର ଭାସ୍ୱତୀ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ସ୍ୱାଗତ ଭାଷଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ ସଂଯୋଜିକା ଡକ୍ଟର ସ୍ୱପ୍ନା ଏସ୍. ପ୍ରଭୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ।
ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଅବସରରେ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଆଗାମୀ ଶିକ୍ଷା ବର୍ଷ ପାଇଁ ମନୋନୀତ ସହପାଠୀ ନେତା ବା ‘ଶକ୍ତିଶ୍ରୀ ସାଥୀ’ (Shaktishree Saathi) ଏବଂ ନବଗଠିତ ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍‌ର ବିଭାଗୀୟ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ମଧ୍ୟ ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।
ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସୂଚନା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ଏହି ସେଲ୍ କେବଳ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ସମାଧାନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସୀମିତ ନରହି ଛାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବର୍ଷସାରା ସଚେତନତା ଏବଂ ଦକ୍ଷତା ବିକାଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଆୟୋଜନ କରିବ। ଏହି ସେଲ୍ ଅଧୀନରେ ଆତ୍ମରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଶିକ୍ଷଣ, ଆଇନଗତ ସାକ୍ଷରତା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ, କାଉନସେଲିଂ ସହାୟତା, ମେଣ୍ଟରସିପ୍ ଏବଂ ମାନସିକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସଚେତନତା ଅଭିଯାନ ଆଦି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କରାଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା ରହିଛି।
ଏହି ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ସେଲ୍ କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସରେ ଏକ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ଓ ଅଧିକ ସହାୟକ ପରିବେଶ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ସହ ନେତୃତ୍ୱ ଓ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ଗ୍ରହଣ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାରେ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣକୁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷ ଆଶା ପ୍ରକଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ, ଅଧ୍ୟାପିକା, ପ୍ରାକ୍ତନ ଛାତ୍ର, କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଏବଂ ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମ ପ୍ରତିନିଧିମାନେ ଉତ୍ସାହର ସହ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ମହିଳା ସଶକ୍ତୀକରଣ ଓ କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରତି ନିଜର ସମର୍ଥନ ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ।

Bhubaneswar: As a part of the state-wide initiative to ensure safety, security, and empowerment of women in educational institutions, the Utkal University on Monday launched its ‘Shaktishree’ Empowerment Cell at MKCG Auditorium on the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chandi Prasad Nanda emphasised the importance of a learning environment where every student, particularly female, feels secured and ready to take on the world.
Joining the ceremony as chief guest, Vice Chancellor of Rama Devi Women’s University Prof. Jyotsna K.B. Rout said that the Shaktishree Empowerment Cells will act as permanent and student-led hubs in higher education institutions to ensure the safety, empowerment, and emotional well-being of girl students and staff.
Executive Director of Eastern Media Limited and Editor of Sambad Tanaya Patnaik appreciated the idea of such cells in higher educational institutions which would primarily be beneficial for women leadership, skill building, grievance redressal and mentorship.
On the occasion, the names of Shaktishree Saathi, selected peer leaders of the university, were announced along with departmental representatives of the cell. The Shaktishree Empowerment Cell aims to prevent atrocities and empower female students through self-defence training, legal awareness, and mental health support on the campus.
Days after the self-immolation death of a college student in Balasore over alleged sexual harassment last year, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had launched the ‘Shaktishree’ as a transformative empowerment and self-defence initiative.
Among others, Chairperson of PG Council Prof. Jagneshwar Dandapat and Registrar Dr. Swati Mishra also spoke. While Director of Students’ Welfare Prof. Bhaswati Patnaik rendered the welcome address, coordinator of the cell Dr. Swapna S. Prabhu offered the vote of thanks.

Bhubaneswar (18/05/2026) By Lopamudra Pradhan: In a major initiative toward women’s empowerment, Utkal University has officially launched the student-led “Shaktishree Empowerment Cell” in its campus. The inaugural event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Professor Jyotsna Devi, Vice-Chancellor of Rama Devi Women’s University, and Tanaya Patnaik, Editor of Sambad and Kanak News.

Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Chandi Prasad Nanda and PG Council Chairman Professor Jageswar Dandapat were also present to motivate the students. Speaking at the launch, Tanaya Patnaik emphasized that self-confidence is the ultimate tool for self-defense and personal success.
She encouraged female students to trust in their abilities, stay resilient against challenges, and focus on practical skills to excel in their academic and professional journeys. The newly formed Shaktishree Empowerment Cell will operate under the guidance of a faculty coordinator alongside a dedicated panel of five distinguished women professionals.
The center aims to provide mentorship, self-defense awareness, and essential leadership training to female students on campus.
