Preparing Reflective Teachers, Teacher Educators and Educational Leaders for an Inclusive Knowledge Society.

Established in the academic session 2019–20, the University Department of Teacher Education (UDTE), is dedicated to preparing professionally competent, reflective, and socially committed educators. Functioning from the Vani Vihar campus with due recognition of NCTE and approval of the Government of Odisha, the department offers teacher-education programmes such as B.Ed., M.Ed., Integrated B.A. B.Ed. and ITEP in Secondary level UDTE combines disciplinary knowledge, pedagogic training, school-based engagement, research orientation, and professional values to nurture teachers, teacher educators, researchers, and educational administrators capable of responding to the evolving needs of contemporary education.

  • Research and Leadership Development: Build research capacity in educational psychology, assessment, and policy studies, while fostering educational leadership, administration, and value-based education to develop future teacher educators and educational administrators.
