Research Conclave

The practice of research and innovation has been widely accepted as the most essential component of a developing nation’s repertoire of higher education. While research contributes to creation and application of new knowledge, innovation not only incites deeper understanding, but also parallel thinking regarding value creation out of research. Cross-boundary research at intersection of various disciplines led major scientific and societal breakthroughs. Thus, many of today’s complex problems ranging from poverty to pandemic are addressed using a multidisciplinary approach.

Since 2016, Utkal University has organized four Research Scholar’s Conclave  involving faculty members and researchers of various levels and academic disciplines within the University, as well as from other Universities or Institutions to promote a shared vision and understanding for better solution of scientific and social needs. Research scholars from all the University Departments and other research institutes like ILS, NISER, OUAT, CIFA, Odisha Space Application Centre participated in these events. The conclave provides a suitable forum and platform for the research scholars to discuss on their interdisciplinary research activities. This further solicits a flow of information in horizontal, vertical and cross-disciplinary directions. The mandate of this conclave is to provide a common platform for idea generation and refinement in both fundamental and translational research. The excellent young research minds are also felicitated and awarded after being evaluated by a panel of experts.
