Vision:
The vision of the COEUL is to be an advance centre of research and training for improving the quality of life of unorganised workers.
Mission:
- Undertake training and research concerning labour and employment
- Address the issues encountered by unorganized workers
- Dissemination of knowledge and ideas among all stakeholders for improvement of labour standard in the sector
Objectives:
- To conduct baseline research to develop a database of the sector
- To act as a capability enhancement center offering training to workers engaged in unorganised sector
- To undertake research in collaboration with other agencies at regional, and national level
- To provide support to government and other agencies in policy formulation for transformation of labour standard
- To address the issues in implementation of policies relating to unorganised labour and to suggest remedial measures
- To help in sharing of knowledge among all social partners by publication of newsletter and journal of national repute
Future Plans:
- Field Visit to at least 4 districts of Odisha for data collection and training of workers.
- Registration, Training And Safety Workshops in all the districts chosen for field visit
- Research paper publication Compilation of all the data and report writing
- Publication of a book
- Recording and Releasing Short Videos On Skill Development And Safety Practices For Construction Workers In Collaboration With TPCODL
