Prof. (Dr.) Sailabala Debi

She was the Professor in Eonomics at the Centre for Multi Disciplinary Development Research (CMDR), Dharwad, Karnataka, India and served as Director of the same institute. She had earlier taught in the Department of A & A Economics, Utkal University. Her areas of specialisation are Economics of Education, Health Economics, Public Economics and Statistics. She was Visiting Fellow at UNISCO, Paris. She is a member of International of Health Economics Association, Indian Econometrics Society and Indian Economic Association. She has published more than 75 papers in the areas of economics, development economics, education and health in reputed research journals. She has been associated with more than 30 major research projects sponsored by national and international funding agencies. She has published a book on Economics of Higher Education and edited a book on sustainable Development and The Indian Economy: Issues and Challenges. She has successfully guided 15 scholars at the doctoral level.
