  • Born and brought up in Baripada, Prof. Das obtained his Masters from Department of Zoology, Utkal University in 1976 and Ph D from New Castle, United Kingdom through the Commonwealth Fellowship Programme. He joined as a Lecturer in the P. G. Department of Zoology, Utkal University, served as the Head of the Department, and superannuated in 2014. Besides being very friendly with students, he is known as a disciplined teacher and research worker. Since his retirement, Prof Das is continuing to teach the students in the department owing to his passion for the subject.
